2022 Counoise

Rattlesnake Hills - Columbia Valley

100% Counoise - A rare variety (1580 acres in France, maybe 50 in the US) rarer still as a varietal - our fourth bottling of this ancient grape from the southern Rhone. She's a zesty little princess, a nice bright cranberry/orange nose with a wild berry palate  - pretty and beguiling, this is the wine I'll bring to impress my friends. Believe me, goes spectacularly with spicy food!

2022 Grenache

Ah Grenache, oh how I love thee! A world class site, Elephant Mountain, highest in the Rattlesnake Hills. A perfect growing season, then we gently coax the fruits forward during fermentation, wed them with a wee bit of new American Oak, and Wowza. A big, beautiful, vibrant wine! The aromatics literally leap from the glass - red cherries, wild strawberries, rose petal and white pepper. On the palate, tangy pomegranate and bright cherry flavors dominate a long, high intensity fruit filled flourish. Pure pleasure.

A seductive, sultry aroma of dark, ripe blackberries. Full bodied, rich and smooth with a spicy verve. After a particularly difficult day, this is my "Wine Down" beverage of choice - I relax, let the tensions melt as I savor her nuances. Pairing, I'd suggest a flame grilled rare steak with roasted potatoes.

The aroma on this big girl is absolutely captivating - a heady perfume of dark ripe blackberry, black licorice, fresh baked brioche, a wee bit of barnyard with a kiss of mint.  On the palate she sports a firm tannin structure, bursting at the seams with flavor. Jammy raspberry & strawberry fruit tightly embracing ripe figs, tar and coffee with prominent notes of black pepper. An impossibly long finish to boot.​ Yes friends, she will be much fun as she ages.​

This sultry beauty takes me back to a breathtakingly gorgeous late night Flamenco show in Granada, Spain this past December - like the elegant dancers, she’s crisp, intense and powerful, smoldering with sensuality. Deep dark red in color, the nose beckons with a lusty swirl of roasted coffee, red cherry chocolate and a dash of mint. The mouth, powerfully forceful - exuberant flavors of strawberry, plum, tomato sauce & charred cherry. You guessed it, I’m grilling with this darling, grilled chicken with a Mole’ sauce - Totally Simpatico!​

Dark, brooding, husky nose - like the earthy autumn richness of a forested trail. The palate, impressively rich - sweet black cherry backed up against dark chocolate. The center palate amazes with Cab Franc purity - tart, lively, bright red fruits singing in unison. A long finish of pomegranate and dark ripe figs - on the whole, perfect for a fireside caress with your favorite squeeze.

2022 Petite sirah

Columbia Valley

A scarce varietal, less than 10,000 acres worldwide! Nothing Petite about this bombshell, inky black in the glass, she’s heavily perfumed with candied violets, ripe blueberries, saddle leather and cigar box. The palate, oh so succulent! Deep rich flavors of dark chocolate, lavender scented black cherry and a strong backbone of rhubarb.  Chunky, grippy tannins and a long, long finish - positively ROBUSTO, I say!  ​

2021 Chardonnay

Chehalem Mountains - La Famiglia (Estate Grown)

Equal parts (clones 76 & 95) from Stark Vineyard, fermented in a 40/60 combination of French oak and stainless steel. Pale straw yellow in color, a vibrant tropical nose of Meyer lemon, honeydew and sweet pineapple. Rich and creamy on the palate with a sumptuous core of lemon curd, baked pears and a soothing blanket of butterscotch. Perfectly balanced with a tight ring of acidity, a hint of lemon oil viscosity and a long, complex finish. Pair with poached scallops, buttery lobster tails or oysters on the half shell!​

2022 Chenin Blanc

Horse Heaven Hills​ - Columbia Valley

Our 2022 Chenin Blanc from the Horse Heaven Hills is a vivacious, spunky little debutante marking our first release of this 9th century French varietal. She is, quite literally a "white with attitude". The aroma, a pleasant mix of ripe pear and honey suckle with a wee bit of baked honey crisp apple. The palate, full of freshness and vitality, features pineapple, orange peel & Meyer lemon and lingers harmoniously for a bright and energetic finish. Triple-cream Brie, oysters on the half-shell, grilled sea bass with a burre blanc - Oh Yes!​

2023 Dolcetto Rosé

Chehalem Mountains - La Famiglia (Estate Grown)

A very hot year 23', this lovely Rose' reflects the intensity of the season. A beautiful, deep strawberry color with an intense nose of lychee and red cherry. The palate, crisp and complex, abounds with flavors of ripe Oregon strawberries, cranberries, hints of white pepper, a wee bit of balsam and tar. A perfect match with poultry and pasta dishes, serve chilled but not ice cold.

2021 Sparkling Rosé

Simply stunning I say! A blend of Syrah and Cabernet Franc from the Columbia Valley. Pale salmon in color, she’s complex, juicy and downright punchy. Ripe, concentrated flavors of sweet watermelon, luscious strawberries and a splash of orange zest. Oh so delightful!!​
